ABOUT:
Daisy Gilroy-Bewell is an editorial designer based in the North of England. She values all elements of the creative industries ranging from photography to art direction to editorial and graphic design and to branding. She has a passion for mixed media and analogue printing techniques such as Lino printing. Daisy appreciates printed media, and follows the mindset that print is not dead. The physicality and tangibility of these products is something that makes them stand out from the increasingly digital landscape of the industry. Within Daisy’s practice, she aims to evoke feelings of nostalgia, creating art that is reminiscent of childhood memories and fun. She strongly values underconsumption and throughout her practice she aims to push this concept and encourage others to be more considerate of their consumption and the knock-on effects that this leads to. Daisy is always aspiring to evoke consumer connection, producing work that requires you to think and consider its relation to you.
